  2. Added Date Update/User Updated and Date/User Inserted to the grid so users could see when info was added.  (10/15/2006)
  3. Several of our clients have requested that we change how phone numbers are tracked, and have suggested that we revert to the old way, i.e. on the address screen.  Since there are multiple types of phone numbers that would each require their own field on the address screen, such as emergency contact numbers, message numbers, alternate numbers, etc. this does not offer the flexibility needed for all clients.
After discussions with several clients we will be creating a master phone number table.  In this way a phone number would be entered once, and could be linked to any number of persons who may use it.  For example, the number (123) 456-7890 could be John Smith's emergency number, John Smith's mother's phone number, and John Smith's Home number.  It could be a message number for Nancy Jones.  It would also be possibly to easily report on who is associated with any given phone number.  In this way we could minimize duplicate data entry and simplify the process of entering phone number information while ensuring a maximum amount of flexibility.  Given that only a single piece of information is needed, the data entry process would do a search at save time, linking to a previously entered number if they are exactly identical or creating a new record and linking to it if it wasn't already on file.  A data conversion from the existing phone number table would also be done so that no data is lost. 4.3z (11/14/2006)
  4. The phone number type can now be modified.  Phone number can also be modified and if it's already on file the linkage will be changed.  Otherwise a new number and linkage will be added. (01/05/07
